Yoga, Elbow Hyperextension And Tennis Elbow

Is it a good idea to continue practicing Yoga while you’re recovering from Tennis Elbow? In all likelihood, yes – unless your injury is severe or highly acute and irritated at the moment…

But there are poses that could aggravate your Tennis Elbow if done incorrectly – Be sure to avoid ‘Elbow Hyperextension’ in your upper-body, weight-bearing poses, like:

  • Downward Dog,
  • Reverse Plank and
  • Cobra Pose

Don’t extend elbows further than the model in the photo above:
